Good interplay between Stewart and Lombard -- the stuff that made both popular stars. The great character actor Charles Coburn (who was NOT the father of James Coburn as erroneously stated elsewhere on IA) is flawless, as usual.
Good print and sound. Thank you, IA. Another excellent find.

You can't go wrong with Jimmy Stewart and Carole Lombard, comedy or drama. I thought it was a good film. Did have me sitting on the edge of my seat the last 10 minutes or so. The ending was a bit hurried, compacted but still a good film.
Good performances in this one.
I'm surprised this is public domain.
The whole thing about having to fly medicine from Utah seems a little out of touch with the rest of the story.
I believe however this is an accurate depiction of the American healthcare system.

I am currently in pre-production on a short film that will be shot this upcoming weekend. I'm interested in using a clip from this film. To the poster, can you confirm for me that this is in fact public domain? firstname.lastname@example.org

Rather low key effort
Not the most memorable film in the careers of the two stars.
With an excellent support cast the film promised much more than it delivers.
Similar in theme to Penny Serenade made a couple of years later, but not as good.

Great film! This movie is very well scripted and the cast is perfect. I wouldn't be surprised if this one won an award or two the year it opened. It was interesting to watch a couple that gets married within 48 hours of meeting. The ending was a little strange and amateur though. (If you love this film, also see 'Penny Serenade'. Cary Grant has the lead and does a marvelous job, but I would have liked to see Jimmy in the role.)

I had no troublr veiwing the movie at all. It is a nice little melodrama from the 1930's.
Carole Lombard is gorgeous. She was married to two of the most handsome and popular movie stars of the 1930's and 1940's, William Powell and Clark Gable. She was killed in a plane crash January 16, 1942 while married to Gable.
This movie covers the first year of young couple who marry within hours of meeting in her home town of Boston and then face the family and friends of the groom back in his home town New York City. It seems like everyone in this bridegroom's life had other plans for him and they all proceed to make things as difficult as they can.

This is classic Jimmy Stewart which is always a good thing! Was there ever an actor on screen who could get the audience to empathize with him the way that he does?! I haven't found one! So, ride on a journey of emotions watching this ol' black-and-white...you won't regret it!

Okay i guess
Good acting, directing, good production in general.
Weak story line.

But Jimmy Stewart's in It !
I guess 'sappy" is the right word, or B (budget) movie would be appropriate. Still very enjoyable as a light predictable show. Ward Bond even made a two minute appearance.
